Breitenhoftagung (Demonstration day at Experimental Field Station)

The traditional Demonstration Day at the Experimental Field Station Breitenhof attracted more than 300 people. Researchers of Agroscope presented in a round-trip new research results concerning stone-fruit production.
In consequence of the late-frost Event in April, Simon Schweizer (Agroscope) and Othmar Eicher (Landwirtschaftliches Zentrum Liebegg) gave practical advice on how to reduce secondary damage.
New, promising cherry varieties that fit in the Swiss environment were showcased by the field-station Manager Thomas Schwizer.
A guest lecture was held by Michael Neumüller who reported about Sharka-hypersensible rootstocks.
