AREFLH's seminar of Producers College - EUFRUIT presentation

AREFLH's Seminar of the Producers College

The Producers' College met on 5 and 6 December in Brussels in the presence of nearly 30 participants. The objective was to write the Roadmap of the College of Producers for years to come by identifying the needs of POs and APOs and setting priorities.

The subjects that were clearly distinguished were the following:

The key role of the CMO for the sector as a vector of technical progress for sustainable production and for an enhanced economic and commercial organization. The seminar proposes a more dynamic, more collective CMO through APOs, particularly transnational ones

A greater promotional effort, both on the internal market, to stem the decline in consumption in Europe, as well as on third countries

Greater attention to research and innovation needs and publication of calls for proposals dedicated to the sector (varietal innovation, control of diseases and parasites, quality, new products and new packaging, etc.)
