Merkblatt Aprikosen Sortenprüfung - Information sheet on apricot variety-testing

Agroscope is doing independent variety-testing of apricots at the research center Conthey (Valais) and also at the trial-center Breitenhof in Wintersingen (Basel Land). Results out of the variety testing at this locations are included in the information sheet, which gives an overview over 31 tested varieties with a description of flowering, fruits and trees. Also a summarizing evaluation of the varieties is included.
With some of the varieties cultivation-experience in Valais just exists, like for the varieties Goldrich, Organgered, Bergeron etc., but there are also new varieties included in the trial-program like Vallamust, Milord or Swired. The varieties cover a large ripening range beginning from 20th of June to 20th of August.
